The Office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the country supports the two-week truce of US President Donald Trump and emphasized that Lebanon is not a party to the two-week truce between the United States, Israel and Iran.

This was said in a statement by the Office.

"Israel supports President Trump's decision to suspend strikes against Iran for two weeks subject to Iran immediately opening the straits and stopping all attacks on the US, Israel and countries in the region," the statement said.

The statement emphasized: "The two-weeks ceasefire does not include Lebanon."

The ministry also emphasized that Israel supports US efforts to ensure that Iran no longer poses a nuclear, missile and terrorist threat to America, Israel, Iran's Arab neighbors and the world.

The Israeli side added that the United States has informed Israel that it seeks to achieve these goals - shared by the United States, Israel and Israel's regional allies - during the upcoming negotiations.

As a reminder, US President Donald Trump said that agreed to suspend the "use of destructive force" against Iran for two weeks, provided that the country agrees to fully open the Strait of Hormuz.

The day before, he said that on the night of April 8 "an entire civilization will die" if the Iranian leadership does not agree to Washington's demands and does not unblock navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
