Two persons detained in Poland in connection with arson at weapons factory in Czech Republic

Two people were arrested in Poland in cooperation with Czech services and charged with aiding and arson in connection with a fire at a defense factory in the Czech Republic that occurred on the night of March 20.

Thus, the arrest of two young people aged 22 and 23 took place on March 24. The operation was the result of cooperation between the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and Czech services.

It is indicated that the detained individuals are activists who support international pro-Palestinian movements. They allegedly collaborated with a group that set fire to the LPP Holding factory in Pardubice on the night of March 19-20 because of its alleged cooperation with the Israeli company Elbit Systems. The damage is estimated at hundreds of millions of crowns.

The Mazovian branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, which is investigating the Polish aspect of the attack in Pardubice, has charged the activists. They will be held responsible for aiding and abetting arson. Both were arrested for three months.

It is not known whether these are the only individuals involved in the attack. Investigators are also not disclosing whether the detainees confessed to the acts they are accused of and whether they gave an explanation.

As a reminder, previously, the defense company LPP, which produces drones for Ukraine, and the Czech police investigated a fire at a factory in the city of Pardubice for a possible connection to russia. Moreover, the company LPP Holding denied cooperation with Israeli manufacturers.
