The most likely reason for the downing of Ukrainian drones in Finland is the activity of electronic warfare (EW) equipment of the army of the aggressor country russia.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi, said this on Monday, March 30, as quoted by Radio Liberty.

According to him, Ukraine is sharing all the necessary information with Finland to establish all the circumstances.

"We can say with certainty that in no case were any Ukrainian drones heading towards Finland. The most likely reason is that they were shot down by Russian electronic warfare systems," Tykhyi said.

He added that Ukraine has already apologized to Finland for the incident. In addition, the parties share the opinion that the cause of this incident, as well as security problems in the region in general, is russia's aggression against Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 30, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had a conversation with his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb. One of the topics was the downing of Ukrainian UAVs in Finland.

On Sunday, March 29, at least two Ukrainian UAVs entered Finnish airspace. Because of this, the Finnish military took off with F/A-18 Hornet fighters.
