Russia continues attacks on gas production infrastructure in Poltava Region - Naftogaz

This is stated in the message of the Naftogaz of Ukraine group, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to it, on Thursday, March 26, and this night, russian troops struck a facility of the Naftogaz group in the Poltava Region, which ensures gas production.

Thus, damage to the infrastructure was recorded as a result of the shelling.

"As a result of the attack, a fire broke out. The equipment was significantly damaged, the operation of the facility was stopped. I thank the units of the State Emergency Service for the quick and professional response," said Serhii Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

He added that since the beginning of this year alone, russia has attacked the infrastructure of the Naftogaz Group about 40 times.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the military of the aggressor country of russia once again attacked the Poltava Region, as a result of which more than 5,000 consumers were left without gas.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russia has carried out 401 attacks on the infrastructure of the Naftogaz Group, and in 2025 a record number was recorded, namely 229 attacks - more than in the previous three years combined.
