Rada bans men who have not completed military service or training from civil service
The Verkhovna Rada has banned men who have not completed military service or military training from being recruited to the civil service. This is stated in the law on preparing citizens for national resistance (13347) adopted by the Rada on March 25, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In particular, this law introduces relevant amendments to the law "On Civil Service."
"A male person under the age of 60 who has not completed military service or service in the military reserve, or service in bodies entrusted with the functions of ensuring national security and defense of the state, or military training under the reserve officer training program, except for persons recognized as unfit for military service for health reasons, cannot enter the civil service for the first time," the law says.
The law "On Civil Service" currently provides for the possibility of recruiting men who have completed basic military training to the civil service.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 25, the Verkhovna Rada introduced the discipline "Fundamentals of National Resistance" in higher education institutions instead of basic general military training. The study of the "Fundamentals of National Resistance" will not require obtaining a military specialty and acquiring the status of a person liable for military service.
