Damage in 11 regions, killed and wounded - Zelenskyy on consequences of russia's night massive strike
On the night of Tuesday, March 24, the military of the aggressor country russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine. Damage was recorded in 11 regions. There are killed and wounded, including children. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on his Telegram channel.
Thus, according to Zelenskyy, reconstruction work is underway after the night's massive russian attack.
"In Zaporizhzhia and Poltava, ordinary high-rise buildings were damaged, there were fires. Almost 40 drones were launched at Shostka in the Sumy Region. In Slatyne, Kharkiv Region, an electric train was hit by a drone. In total, damage was recorded in 11 regions. As of now, it is known that four people were unfortunately killed in the attack. My condolences to their families and friends. Dozens more are wounded, including children," the President wrote.
The President said that russia used more than 390 attack drones and 34 missiles of various types: ballistic, cruise, and guided missiles.
"And these figures clearly show that we need more protection of life from Russian strikes. It is important to continue supporting Ukraine. It is important that all air defense agreements are implemented on time. And it is important that Europe is able to produce the necessary number of missiles for air defense to protect itself from any threats," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He also thanked everyone who helps to strengthen the protection of Ukrainian skies.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 24, at about 5:20 a.m., an FPV drone hit a car of the Slatyne-Kharkiv electric train, killing a 61-year-old passenger.
