Defense Ministry explains why Kremniy El plant in Bryansk was targeted by Ukrainian military

The Kremniy El enterprise in Bryansk, russia, which was hit by a missile strike the day before, produces electronic components for russian missiles.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported this on Wednesday, March 11.

Kremniy El produces semiconductors and microcircuits. They are used in the production of control systems for a number of russian missiles.

These are intercontinental missiles for the Topol-M complex, ballistic and cruise missiles for the Iskander complex, missiles used in the S-300/S-400 air defense missile systems, as well as missiles for the Pantsir air defense systems.

The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the Kremniy El plant is a legitimate military target.

On Tuesday, March 10, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck at the the Kremniy El plant in Bryansk using Storm Shadow cruise missiles. The missiles hit the main production building.

The missile attack was recorded by a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone that was hovering over the plant during the hits. The video shows that the production hall was hit by five missiles one after another.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, recently, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said, that in January and February of this year, the Ukrainian military hit three large enterprises of the russian military-industrial complex.
