Retail prices at Ukrainian gas stations go up
In early March, the retail fuel market was hit by another wave of price increases.
The specialized edition Enkorr writes about this with reference to the monitoring data of the A-95 Consulting Group, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The report says that according to the monitoring data of the A-95 Consulting Group, from March 2 to March 3, light oil products added an average of about UAH 2 per liter, crossing the UAH 65 per liter mark, and liquefied gas rose in price by 58 kopecks per liter to UAH 39.05 per liter.
The average price of A-95 increased by UAH 1.94/l to UAH 65.07/l, A-95+ - by UAH 2.06/l (UAH 69.57/l), diesel fuel - by UAH 2.07/l (UAH 65.02/l).
The rise in fuel prices at retail is a reaction to the rapid growth of wholesale prices amid further increases in oil prices.
As of Wednesday, March 3, Brent crude was trading above USD 84 per barrel, and gas oil on the London Stock Exchange rose to USD 1,000/t+.
According to the publication, the average wholesale price for gasoline jumped to UAH 60.05/l and for diesel to UAH 67.34/t on the domestic market.
For the first time since 2022, retail prices at certain times were UAH 2.32/l lower than the wholesale price.
The spread for gasoline decreased by UAH 3.08/l to UAH 5.02/l, for LPG - by UAH 0.54/l to UAH 4.57/l.
The largest growth was recorded in the lower price range networks.
Thus, Faktor, which had the lowest price for gasoline on March 2, added UAH 4/l (UAH 61/l) to the ceiling for this type of fuel, and UAH 5/l (UAH 63/l) for diesel.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the director of the A-95 Consulting Group Serhii Kuiun believes that there is more than enough gasoline in Ukraine and there is no reason to panic.
