Zelenskyy names four possible venues for talks with russia instead of Abu Dhabi
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the next talks with the aggressor state of russia could still take place on March 5 or 6 - perhaps not in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
He said this in an interview with Corriere della Sera.
Thus, according to Zelenskyy, no one postponed the next trilateral meeting on the peaceful settlement of the russian-Ukrainian war. In his opinion, it could take place on March 5 or 6, as planned.
"It may not take place in Abu Dhabi. I would prefer it to take place in Geneva or in any other city in Europe, because the war is taking place on our continent. If russia wants a neutral place, then Austria, the Vatican or Turkey would be suitable," he noted.
The President also added that Ukraine hopes that a new prisoner exchange will take place.
As a reminder, the President previously stated that a trilateral meeting of the teams of Ukraine, the United States, and the aggressor country of russia is to take place from March 5 to 8, but the venue is currently unknown due to hostilities in the Middle East.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 28, US President Donald Trump made an official statement confirming the start of a large-scale military operation against Iran.
On the morning of March 1, the Iranian army launched a wave of strikes on a number of Middle Eastern countries, which led to numerous explosions and the activation of air raid warnings in Israel, Dubai (UAE), Doha (Qatar), Bahrain, Jordan, and Iraq.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that the next six months are critical for achieving peace in Ukraine, otherwise the country may face a protracted war.
