Two drones hit US embassy in Riyadh - Saudi Arabia's Defense Ministry

The Saudi Defense Ministry has confirmed that the US embassy in Riyadh was attacked by two drones, which caused a fire.

"According to preliminary assessments, the US embassy in Riyadh was attacked by two drones, which caused a small fire and minor material damage to the building," the message of Saudi Arabia's Defense Ministry on the social network X reads.

As reported by The Guardian, early on the morning of March 3, a loud explosion was heard near the embassy and flames were visible. Black smoke was visible over Riyadh's diplomatic quarter, where foreign missions are located.

It is noted that there were no reports of casualties, since the building was empty in the morning hours.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that American forces had destroyed all Iranian warships that were in the Gulf of Oman at the time of the start of Operation Epic Fury.

Meanwhile, it became known that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran attacked the tanker Athe Nova in the Strait of Hormuz. It became the fifth vessel to be attacked by Iranian forces in the past three days.

In addition, US President Donald Trump authorized a ground operation against Iran, which has been under attack by American and Israeli forces for the third day.
