NBU's net sale of foreign currency on interbank market down 20% to USD 3 billion in February
In February of this year, the National Bank's net sale of foreign currency amounted to USD 2.990 billion, which is 19.9% less than the volume of net sales in January (USD 3.736 billion).
This is evidenced by NBU data, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In February, the NBU did not buy foreign currency, while it sold USD 2.990 billion.
In 2025, the National Bank sold a record USD 36.1 billion to support the hryvnia exchange rate.
For comparison: in January of this year, the National Bank's net sale of foreign currency amounted to USD 3.736 billion, which is 16% less than the volume of net sales in December (USD 4.460 billion).
In November 2025, the National Bank's net sale of currency amounted to USD 2.887 billion, which is 1% less than the net sale in October (USD 2.915 billion).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2024, the National Bank sold currency worth USD 35.1 billion.
