Ukrainians' funds in banks increase to record UAH 1.6 trillion - DGF

As of February 1, 2026, the total amount of deposits of individuals (including individual entrepreneurs) in Ukrainian banks amounted to UAH 1,612.9 billion, which is about UAH 234.6 billion more than the same period last year.

This is stated in the report of the Deposit Guarantee Fund, the Ukrainian News agency informs.

Of the total amount of deposits of individuals as of February 1, 2026:

- deposits in national currency - UAH 1,057.8 billion;

deposits in foreign currency - UAH 555.1 billion.

The share of individual entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors as of February 1, 2026 amounted to 3.2%, and in the structure of the amount of deposits - 11.6%.

The amount of their deposits amounted to UAH 187.8 billion. It should be noted that the deposits of individual entrepreneurs are guaranteed by the Deposit Guarantee Fund.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, starting from April 13, 2022, the day the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Ensuring the Stability of the Deposit Guarantee System" came into force, 100% guarantees apply to deposits of individuals (including individual entrepreneurs) in Ukrainian banks for the duration of martial law in Ukraine and for three months after its cancellation or termination. After three months from the date of lifting or termination of martial law, the maximum amount of guaranteed compensation for depositors of Ukrainian banks will be UAH 600,000.
