Trump instructs US negotiating team to end killings in Ukraine
US President Donald Trump has instructed members of the US negotiating team to try to end the killings in Ukraine. US Vice President JD Vance said this on Wednesday, February 25, RBC-Ukraine writes.
Vance said in a comment to Fox News that the US was conducting very cautious negotiations with both Ukraine and the aggressor country of russia.
"Obviously, the russians have some 'red lines,' the Ukrainians have some 'red lines,' and the President just instructed the entire team to try to end the killings," Vance said.
According to him, peace talks to end the war in Ukraine are a difficult task. At the same time, he believes that the US is making progress with both Ukraine and russia.
The US Vice President added that Washington will continue to work on the negotiations and, in the end, "we will either succeed or we will not."
He also said that Trump is extremely optimistic about the successful conclusion of the russian-Ukrainian war.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 24, Bloomberg agency wrote, citing its own sources, that Trump wants to reach an agreement between Ukraine and the russian federation by the US Independence Day, which is celebrated on July 4.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on this message, said that he has new information about Trump's intention to achieve an end to the war by July.
Recall, on February 19, Trump signed a decree extending American sanctions against the aggressor country of russia for another year.
