Zelenskyy awards rank of brigadier general to deputy head of President's Office, Pavlo Palisa
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the rank of brigadier general to the deputy head of the President's Office, Colonel Pavlo Palisa.
This is stated in Decree No. 153 of February 24, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"To award the military rank of brigadier general to Colonel Pavlo Serhiyovych Palisa, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine," the document states.
Zelenskyy also awarded the rank of major general to the commander of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Oleh Apostol, the rank of brigadier general to the commander of the 17th Army Corps of the Operational Command "South" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Yaroslav Sydorov, and the commander of the 15th Army Corps of the Operational Command "West" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Ruslan Shevchuk.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in November 2024, Zelenskyy appointed Pavlo Palisa, commander of the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Brigade, as deputy head of the President's Office.
Palisa (call sign "Hunter") has been the commander of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Kholodnyi Yar" since 2023, a participant in the battles for Bakhmut.
