Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) Oleksandr Klymenko hinted that the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) may be behind wiretapping of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) detective chief, who is investigating the case against Tymur Mindich.

He said this at a press conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"A full-scale invasion is underway in the country, and at the same time, the Security Service of Ukraine is spending huge resources on investigating the detective's undeclared property. At the same time, this is not within their jurisdiction, which is a violation of the law," Klymenko noted.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau Semen Kryvonos said that law enforcement agencies installed a "wiretapping" device on the head of the NABU detective unit and tried to wiretap him.

According to preliminary data, the attempt to install wiretapping devices was carried out by employees of one of the law enforcement agencies.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau has already launched a pre-trial investigation into this fact.

NABU plans to request the extradition of Mindich and other defendants in the Midas case from Israel.

The Prosecutor General's Office has opened criminal proceedings against Kryvonos' subordinates for illegally wiretapping lawyers.
