CEC recognizes lawyer Otradnova as MP from Servant of the People party instead of administrator of Telegram channel Joker Kravets
The Central Election Commission (CEC) recognized lawyer and teacher Olesia Otradnova as an elected member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party instead of the administrator of the Telegram channel Joker Roman Kravets.
This is stated in the CEC message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The CEC reports that on January 19, it recognized Roman Kravets, included in the electoral list of the political party Servant of the People under No. 153, as an elected MP in the extraordinary elections of MPs of Ukraine on July 21, 2019 in the nationwide multi-mandate electoral district.
However, he did not submit to the CEC the necessary documents for his registration as a MP of Ukraine within the period specified by law, by February 10 inclusive, as well as a statement of the presence of good reasons that prevent him from submitting such documents within the period specified by law.
Therefore, the CEC recognized Kravets as one who did not acquire a MP mandate.
At the same time, the Commission recognized Olesia Otradnova, the next candidate in order, included in the electoral list of the political party Servant of the People under No. 160, as elected MP of Ukraine in the specified elections.
For her registration as MP, Otradnova must submit to the Commission the documents specified by the electoral legislation no later than the twentieth day from the date of official publication of today's decision by the CEC. In turn, the CEC shall adopt a corresponding decision no later than the fifth day from the date of their receipt.
48-year-old Otradnova was the director of the Training Center of Prosecutors of Ukraine in 2020-2025.
Otradnova was born on July 14, 1977 in the city of Blagoveshchensk, Amur Oblast (russian federation),
In 1999, she graduated from the Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, receiving a Master of Laws qualification.
Since 2001, she has worked as an assistant, associate professor, and professor at the Department of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
In 2002, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law on the topic "Penalty in the Civil Law of Ukraine". In the same year, she received a certificate of the right to practice law.
In 2014, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Law on the topic "Mechanism of Civil Law Regulation of Tort Obligations".
In 2015, she became the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
At the time of the 2019 elections to the Verkhovna Rada, she was the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor of the Department of Civil Law at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, non-partisan, lives in Kyiv.
The CEC also reported that it had received an application from the commander of the 429th separate brigade of unmanned systems "Achilles" Yurii Fedorenko, included in the electoral list of the political party Servant of the People under No. 158, to cancel his registration as a candidate for MP.
Then the Commission considered the documents and made a decision to cancel the registration of Yurii Fedorenko as a candidate for MP of Ukraine in the aforementioned early parliamentary elections, excluding him from the electoral list of the Servant of the People party.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 19, the Central Election Commission recognized Roman Kravets, the administrator of the Telegram channel Joker, included in the electoral list of the political party Servant of the People under No. 153, as MP of the Verkhovna Rada from Servant of the People, instead of Dmytro Natalukha.
On January 14, the Verkhovna Rada appointed the head of the Rada Committee on Economic Development Dmytro Natalukha (the Servant of the People faction) to the position of head of the State Property Fund.
On January 30, the Central Election Commission registered businessman Serhii Karabut, who is included in the electoral list of the Servant of the People party under No. 156, instead of the deceased Oleksandr Kabanov, as a new member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party.
