The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) director Semen Kryvonos said he was ready for criminal prosecution and suspicion.

He said this at a press conference, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"I am ready for suspicion as the head of the NABU and the head of the SAPO right now, if there is a corpus delicti," he said.

The NABU director noted that there can be no political agreements with anyone in the NABU and the SAPO, because it is about the team, not about specific individuals.

"Agreements are impossible," the NABU director said.

This is how the NABU director commented on the information that the NABU and the SAPO agreed that the head of the SAPO would not be served with a notice of suspicion in exchange for not prosecuting the former head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau Director Semen Kryvonos does not rule out that criminal cases may be opened against him and SAPO head Oleksandr Klymenko. Kryvonos, who opened criminal proceedings against Yuliia Tymoshenko for bribing MPs, had previously received a court sentence for bribing voters in the interests of the Yuliia Tymoshenko Bloc. Kryvonos tried to get into the NABU 10 years ago, but was prevented by a corruption scandal. The NABU confirmed the investigation against Andrii Yermak, but has not yet served the former head of the President's Office with a notice of suspicion. The NABU director was involved in the SSU case on extortion of a USD 120,000 bribe from an entrepreneur.
