PFTS trading volume up 56% to UAH 86.9 billion in January
In January 2026, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange reached UAH 86.9 billion, which is 156% of the level of the previous month, or 76% of the total volume of trading by the organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
This is stated in the exchange's message, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In the structure of trading for January, the share of government bonds of Ukraine amounted to 65.2% (UAH 56.6 billion, or 125% of the previous month's level), currency swaps - 32.2% (UAH 28 billion, or 344% of the previous month's level), foreign government bonds - 2.1% (UAH 1.9 billion, or 99% of the previous month's level), corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 0.3% (UAH 0.3 billion, or 84% of the previous month's level), municipal bonds - 0.1% (UAH 0.1 billion, or 103% of the previous month's level), shares of foreign issuers - 0.04% (UAH 37.5 million, or 824% of the previous month's level), securities of collective investment institutions - 0.02% (UAH 15.3 million, or 20% of the previous month's level), and shares of Ukrainian issuers - 0.01% (UAH 8 million, or 2972% of the previous month's level).
In January, 8.5% of transactions were concluded on the "order market", 86.9% of transactions on the "quotation market" (including address transactions), 2.4% of transactions in the REPO and REPO "with risk control" modes, 2.2% of transactions in the SWAP "with risk control" mode.
In January, 42 trading participants concluded transactions with 92 securities issues (55 government domestic loan bonds, 8 government foreign loan bonds, 9 shares of foreign issuers, 8 corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers, 5 securities of collective investment institutions, 3 bonds of foreign countries, 1 share of Ukrainian issuers, 2 currency swaps, and 1 municipal bond.
From June 17, 2024, trading in currency swaps began in the PFTS trading system.
In January, transactions were concluded with currency swaps "US dollar - Ukrainian hryvnia" (ticker: USDUAH) and "euro - Ukrainian hryvnia" (ticker: EURUAH).
The total trading volume of these swaps amounted to UAH 28 billion (32.2% of the total trading volume or 344% of the previous month's level).
Among the 55 issues of government bonds with which transactions were concluded in January, 21 issues were with maturity dates in 2026 (UAH 18.9 billion), 23 issues - with maturity dates in 2027 (UAH 22.8 billion), 6 issues - with maturity dates in 2028 (UAH 7.3 billion and 5 issues - with maturity dates in 2029 (UAH 6.2 billion).
From July 26, 2022, trading in government domestic loan bonds of Ukraine denominated in foreign currency, in the currency of par value, began on the PFTS.
In January, the volume of exchange contracts with government domestic loan bonds executed in the currency of par value amounted to USD 35.9 million and EUR 3.3 million (2% of the total trading volume).
As of February 1, 2026, the number of members of JSC "PFTS Stock Exchange" admitted to trading was 54: 29 banks and 25 financial companies.
As of February 1, 2026, 389 issues of financial instruments were admitted to trading on JSC "PFTS Stock Exchange", of which 113 issues of securities were in the Exchange Register.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2025, the total trading volume of the PFTS reached UAH 845 billion, which is 163% of the level of 2024, or 78% of the total trading volume of securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
