White-listed Starlink operating, while russian terminals already blocked - Fedorov
The Starlink terminals included in the "white list" are working, while the terminals of the russian occupiers have already been blocked. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on his Telegram channel.
"We continue to verify Starlink terminals. The first stage of terminals that were included in the "white list" is already working," the minister wrote.
Fedorov revealed that the "white lists" are currently updated once a day.
"If you have submitted your terminal for registration, but it is not yet working, you should wait. This is a very large-scale process that takes time. At the same time, we are already working to ensure that the data is submitted for verification in real time," he added.
The minister also said that civilians need to verify their Starlink through Administrative Services Centers. And the corresponding service will soon be available for legal entities on the Diia portal.
"Our team, together with our partners, is working on all cases promptly. I am grateful to the military and commanders who promptly verified their terminals. The continuity and stability of communication is critically important for the frontline," the Defense Minister summarized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine on technological directions Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov said, that at the front, the russian occupiers have serious problems with troop management - in some areas, assault operations have actually stopped due to the disconnection of Starlink terminals.
On January 29, Ukraine's Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said, that the department, together with the American company SpaceX, is working to eliminate the possibility of using Starlink terminals on the drones of the russian occupiers.
Already on January 30, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated that he was "happy to help" the Ukrainian side in solving this problem. And on February 1, he said that the measures taken by the company to stop the use of Starlink on russian drones "gave results."
On February 2, Mykhailo Fedorov announced the launch of the verification of Starlink terminals in Ukraine. According to him, only verified and registered terminals will operate in the country, while all other terminals will be disabled
