It's not a problem - it's a disaster. Russian military's communication 'dropped' due to Starlink outage - Beskrestnov
The russian occupants have serious problems with troop management at the frontline - in some areas, assault operations have actually stopped due to the disconnection of Starlink terminals.
Advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine on technological directions Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov has reported this.
"The enemy doesn't even have a problem at the frontlines, the enemy has a catastrophe. All command and control of the troops has fallen. Assault operations have been stopped in many areas," he wrote.
At the same time, Beskrestnov clarified that technical problems were also identified on the Ukrainian side, in particular, in units that submitted lists of private Starlink terminals late. Currently, the process of their processing continues.
These statements came amid decisions to limit the use of Starlink by russian troops. on January 29, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said that the ministry, together with the American company SpaceX, is working to eliminate the possibility of using Starlink terminals on the drones of the russian occupiers.
Already on January 30, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated that he was "happy to help" the Ukrainian side in solving this problem. And on February 1, he said that the measures taken by the company to stop the use of Starlink on russian drones "gave results."
On February 2, Mykhailo Fedorov announced the launch of the verification of Starlink terminals in Ukraine. According to him, only verified and registered terminals will operate in the country, while all other terminals will be disabled.
