Polish state bank Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego will operate in Ukraine
Polish state bank Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego will operate in Ukraine.
This is evidenced by the data of bill No. 0363 dated February 2, 2026, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The document provides for the ratification of an agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Poland on the activities of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego in Ukraine, which will open the legal grounds for the full-fledged operation of the Polish state development bank on the territory of Ukraine.
This concerns the provision of financial and technical assistance for the implementation of projects for the restoration and development of the state.
BGK will be able to provide Ukraine with loans, credits, guarantees, grants and other financial instruments.
The assistance can be directed both to the government of Ukraine and local governments, as well as to state and private companies.
Financing will be carried out in euros, US dollars or other currencies.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the number of participants in the non-bank financial market in December 2025 decreased by six institutions to 775, the number of banks in December was 61 (IUTE Bank was created by the DGF).
