Air Force reveals features of massive strike on Ukraine
The night attack on February 3 was marked by a record number of ballistic missiles, which significantly complicated the work of air defense, in total, the enemy launched 521 air attack vehicles, focusing the main blow on critical infrastructure facilities throughout the country. This was reported by Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat on the air of a telethon.
Due to the specifics of the ballistic trajectory, the percentage of interceptions differs from the usual indicators. Out of more than 70 missiles of various types, 38 were shot down. The situation is better with cruise missiles: out of 28 units, 20 were destroyed, the fate of another six is being clarified.
Yurii Ihnat emphasized the change in the enemy's priorities: instead of the usual Kalibrs or Kh-101, the russians are increasingly striking with difficult-to-intercept missiles Kh-22, Kh-32, Oniks and scarce Zircons.
The strike was dispersed - the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Vinnytsia Regions were under the sights. The Air Force notes that the occupiers deliberately chose the tactic of a simultaneous strike on many regions, ignoring any talk of a "truce".
"Since russia is building up ballistics, Ukraine must build up systems capable of intercepting it, and most importantly - missiles for them. Partners should know about this," Yurii Ihnat emphasized.
We will remind you that russian troops again attacked DTEK thermal power plants. The strike significantly damaged the equipment of power facilities, which affected the operation of the stations.
After the night attack by the russian federation, two districts of Kyiv are without heat: DTEK introduced emergency power outages.
Russia again struck the DTEK TPPs: the ninth massive attack this winter, there is significant destruction.
