Pharmacies and stores should stock up on two-week supplies - Lviv City Council
The Lviv City Council recommended that pharmacies and supermarkets have a two-week supply of essential goods and backup power in case of an emergency. This was announced in a statement by the Lviv City Council on Friday, January 30.
The Lviv City Council adopted a decision to prepare supermarkets and pharmacy chains for work in conditions of possible emergencies. The chains were advised to have a two-week supply of goods in case of prolonged power outages and heat.
"Yesterday we held a meeting with supermarket and pharmacy chains. We agreed that in the event of prolonged power outages, they should be ready to work without interruptions. This includes autonomous power supply, logistics to provide fuel for at least two weeks and the necessary volumes of essential goods - bread, water, hygiene products, baby food," emphasized Inna Svystun, director of the Lviv City Council's economic development department.
Businesses were also asked to prepare internal logistics and be ready to interact with the authorities.
