Zelenskyy sets army task to eliminate 50,000 occupants per month

The Ukrainian Defense Forces need to eliminate 50,000 soldiers of the army of the aggressor country russia every month so that the occupiers cannot build up a group of troops participating in a full-scale invasion.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during the presentation of the E-Balls initiative to evaluate UAV units.

The head of state recalled that in December 2025, UAV units achieved a result of 35,000 neutralized soldiers of the russian army. This includes both killed and seriously wounded occupants. During the ten years of war in Afghanistan, the Soviet army lost half as many as the russian federation lost in just one month.

"This is practical. The task of Ukrainian units is to ensure a level of destruction of the occupier when Russian losses will be greater than the amount of replenishment they can send to the troops every month. This is a realistic task," Zelenskyy said.

The President called the neutralization of 50,000 occupants the optimal level necessary for the russian federation to start weighing what they are doing and what they are fighting for.

He added that the task of the Ministry of Defense and the entire Defense Forces of Ukraine is to guarantee this level of losses of the russian occupiers.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 16, the confirmed losses of the russian army since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine exceeded 160,000 people killed.
