Yermak resumes lawyer activity, did not go to front, as he promised after his dismissal from Bankova Street

Former head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak, who resigned 2 months ago, resumed his legal practice. This is evidenced by an extract from the register of lawyers, which is at the disposal of the Glavcom.

According to the extract, Yermak resumed his legal practice on January 23, 2026. Yermak has not worked as a lawyer since February 20, 2020, when he headed the President's Office. Before that, his practice lasted almost 25 years.

In addition, Yermak is now seeking to lift the arrest of his property, which was sanctioned by the NABU and the SAPO. According to the publication, on December 16, Yermak and his lawyer Artem Zakharov filed an appeal, seeking to cancel the arrest.

However, on January 19, the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left everything unchanged: Yermak's property remains under arrest.

Recall that the searches of Andrii Yermak took place at the end of October 2025 as part of Operation Midas, which concerns corruption in the energy sector. Immediately after the detectives' visit, Yermak resigned, which was supported by the President on the same day.

On November 29, Yermak announced that he was going to the front.

On January 15, NABU confirmed the investigation into Andrii Yermak, but the suspicion against the former head of the President's Office has not yet been announced.

At the same time, the NABU director refused to disclose details regarding the interrogations, searches of the former official's driver, or his current whereabouts, citing the secrecy of the investigation.
