SSU says unknown persons are preparing attempt on Kolomoiskyi's life

The Security Service of Ukraine refused to bring Ihor Kolomoiskyi to the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada's Temporary Investigation Commission on January 21 at the Kyiv City Council because of a threat to his life from unknown persons.

Member of Parliament Oleksii Honcharenko wrote about this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News reports.

The MP attached an official response from the SSU regarding the preparation of an attempt on Kolomoiskyi's life.

According to the SSU's letter, Kolomoiskyi was to be brought to the Kyiv City Council on January 21 to testify at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada's Temporary Investigation Commission to investigate possible violations of defense and anti-corruption legislation.

However, the SSU Pre-trial Investigation Department replied that Kolomoiskyi's delivery to the Temporary Investigation Commissionmeeting was impossible, as unknown persons planned to commit an attempt on the businessman's life during his delivery to the Kyiv City Council building.

So, the SSU refused to deliver Kolomoiskyi to the Temporary Investigation Commission meeting.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukrainian businessman Ihor Kolomoiskyi stated at a regular court hearing that a businessman, co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio Tymur Mindich, was assassinated in Israel. Earlier, Kolomoiskyi invited people to his court hearings and announced that he would communicate with everyone.
