Due to intense attacks on the energy infrastructure in Kyiv and the region, it is currently impossible to determine the time of return to the planned consumption schedules. Deputy Energy Minister Mykola Kolisnyk announced this at a press conference.

He emphasized that the capital region suffered the most, so power engineers are forced to use emergency schedules instead of hourly ones.

"The situation is quite complicated and we see that we cannot make any forecasts now," the official said.

Kolisnyk also assured that emergency repair crews are working around the clock, trying to stabilize the network as soon as possible despite the bad weather.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the situation with power supply in the Kyiv Region remains critical. Due to emergency repairs and instability in the grid, some residents of the region will be left without electricity for a long time, and in several districts restrictions have been introduced without observing the schedules.

After the russian shelling on the night of January 13, Kyiv is experiencing even more electricity shortages, even for critical infrastructure.

Due to the difficult situation in the power grid, the movement of ground electric transport has been temporarily suspended on the right bank of Kyiv. Duplicate bus routes have been organized in some areas.
