Biletskyi assesses personnel decisions in security sector and warns against replacing SSU head

Andrii Biletskyi has positively assessed the package of personnel decisions in the field of national security and defense, while warning against possible changes in the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine.

He stated this while commenting on the latest personnel signals in wartime.

"I positively assess the package of personnel decisions in the field of national security and defense - these are important signals for the front. Appointment of Kyrylo Budanov, my comrade-in-arms, to the post of the Head of the President's Office is a logical step in wartime that strengthens the state's defense capabilities.

At the same time, the information about the possible replacement of the head of the SSU is of serious concern. Vasyl Maliuk is not just the head of an effective counterintelligence agency. He has turned the Security Service of Ukraine into one of the key strategic factors of the war.

The Service systematically hits the enemy's economic hubs, caused irreparable losses to Russian strategic aviation and became a decisive player in the war at sea - thanks to the SSU's efforts, the Russian fleet is practically excluded from the war.

The role of the individual is decisive here, so replacing Maliuk will mean weakening one of the most effective elements of the Ukrainian military machine."

Biletskyi emphasized that in a full-scale war, personnel decisions in the security sector have a direct impact on the situation at the front and the overall stability of the state.
