President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, together with First Lady Olena Zelenska, congratulated Ukrainians on the upcoming New Year and thanked the defenders for their resilience. This is stated in the message of the head of state on Facebook on Wednesday, December 31.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainians won 2025 thanks to their resilience, dedication, integrity and daily work. According to him, it was the Ukrainian defenders who defended the year not only for Ukraine, but for everyone who values freedom and dignity
"Together, we move forward with what keeps us going: experience and memory, the word of home, hope and faith. We take with us the capacity for collective action and our humanity – what endures against all odds. We believe in peace, we fight for it, and we work to achieve it. Happy New Year, dear Ukrainians!" the President congratulated.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 31, Deputy Head of the Communication Department of the National Police Viktoriia Ponomariova reminded that on New Year's Eve in Ukraine it is forbidden to launch fireworks, but it is allowed to use firecrackers and sparklers.
