In the russian city of Tuapse, in the Krasnodar Krai, drones attacked an oil refinery, causing a fire at the plant and injuring two people. Reuters reports this with reference to local authorities,

The fire covered about 300 square meters of the plant's territory. In addition to the refinery's equipment, one port pier and five private houses were damaged. The blast wave also broke out windows in four apartment buildings.

"Tuapse in the Krasnodar Krai is located in southwestern russia on the Black Sea coast, about 350 km from the nearest parts of mainland Ukraine across the Sea of Azov," Reuters recalled.

At present, official russian sources do not specify the extent of damage to production facilities and whether the plant continues to operate.

"Tuapse is one of russia's key Black Sea ports for oil products, home to Rosneft's (ROSN.MM) export-oriented refinery, which has a capacity of about 240,000 barrels of oil per day and supplies products such as oil, fuel oil and diesel fuel. The port and refinery have been repeatedly hit by Ukrainian drones during the war that russia unleashed almost four years ago. It is reported that past strikes have caused fires and sometimes led to a shutdown of operations," the publication added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of December 25, drones attacked a port in the Krasnodar Krai of the aggressor state of russia. Tanks with oil products caught fire - the area of the fire was about 2,000 square meters.

Recall, on November 2, Ukrainian drones hit the infrastructure of an oil terminal in the port of the russian city of Tuapse.

As a reminder, in late October it became known that russian regions began recruiting volunteers to protect oil refineries from UAV attacks.
