Environmental monitoring did not reveal any oil pollution in the Black Sea and on the sandy area of Lanzheron, Vidrada, Dolphin, Arcadia beaches, as well as on the beach of the 15th and 16th stations of the Big Fountain and near the YUG restaurant. It was reported on the Telegram channel of the head of the Odesa City Military Administration.

"According to visual observations, a significant decrease in pollution was recorded on the territory of the Inclusive Beach (11th station of the Big Fountain), where only small scattered spots on the water remain," the message says.

On December 26, the Department of Municipal Security installed booms on Santorini beach, which significantly reduced the level of pollution. However, some traces of oil are still being detected there. No dead birds were found over the weekend.

The pollution of the coast occurred after the vegetable oil along with combustion products got into the Black Sea as a result of an enemy attack on December 22 on containers in the Pivdennyi port.
