As a result of the attack by the russian federation on the night of December 27, consumers in Kyiv and the Kyiv and Chernihiv Regions were left without electricity. Rescuers and power engineers will begin to eliminate the consequences of the attack, as the security situation allows.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

"A massive russian attack on the energy system of Ukraine has been ongoing since last night. As a result, consumers in Kyiv, the Kyiv and Chernihiv Regions were left without electricity. As the security situation allows, rescuers and power engineers will begin to eliminate the consequences of the attack in order to restore power supply in the regions," the message says.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, emergency power outages have been introduced in part of Kyiv, and a third of the capital is without heating.
