Ex-president of UAF Pavelko wanted
The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has put ex-president of the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) Andrii Pavelko on the wanted list.
This is evidenced by the data of the search for persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who are hiding from the authorities, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is indicated that Pavelko disappeared from the sight of law enforcement officers on November 5.
It is noted that he was wanted for committing crimes under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - Article 191 Part 5, Article 366 Part 1. This is theft of property on an especially large scale and forgery of documents.
He is wanted by the SSU.
It is indicated that no preventive measure was applied to him.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, ex-president of the UAF Pavelko fled abroad using a fake disability. Andrii Shevchenko replaced Andrii Pavelko, who was then in pre-trial detention center in a corruption case involving the construction of a factory for the production of artificial grass for football fields, as UAF president at the end of January. Another person involved in the case is the organization's former secretary general, Yurii Zapisotskyi. At the end of February, Pavelko was released and was awaiting a court decision. He had been behind bars for more than 8 months. Pavelko and UAF secretary general Yurii Zapisotskyi are suspected of embezzling UAH 26.5 million.
