Russian military tried to enter Vilcha near Vovchansk - Trehubov
The head of the Joint Forces Communications Directorate, Viktor Trehubov, said that the russian occupation army tried to enter the village of Vilcha in the Vovchansk community of the Kharkiv Region, but they were defeated. According to him, the Vovchansk direction is difficult now, in particular, because the enemy is trying to bypass Vovchansk and enter from other sides.
He told Suspilne Kharkiv about this on December 25.
"They tried to enter Vilcha, yes, there were attempts at direct infiltration, but now there are reports from the field that they managed to defeat them there, that they managed to hold the settlement. At least there is no active presence of Russians there," Trehubov said.
He noted that the russians have already reported that they allegedly took Vilcha, which is about the same story as the "capture" of Kupiansk. Trehubov explained that the enemy was very active in trying to push in, and a large number of people were lost in the attempt to advance.
"We need to understand that the Vovchansk direction is objectively difficult now, because it is difficult to hold the defense in the completely destroyed Vovchansk. In addition, the Russians are trying to bypass the city and enter from other sides," emphasized Trehubov.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russian Z-channels are gradually starting to recognize the successes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in Kupiansk, Kharkiv Region, and the harm of public statements about the "capture" of the city, for the units of the russian aggressor country's army in this area.
Meanwhile, Julian Röpcke, a military observer for the German edition of Bild, claims that the analytical map of the DeepState project allegedly reflects the situation at the front with a delay of more than a month.
According to DeepState, as of December 24, the occupiers have advanced in three regions. It is claimed that the enemy has tactical successes near Kindrativka in the Sumy Region, in Vovchansk in the Kharkiv Region, and in the area of Myrnohrad in the Donetsk Region.
