Nova Poshta closes last post office in Sviatohirsk, Donetsk Region

Nova Poshta branch in Sviatohirsk

The Nova Poshta express delivery company has announced the forced closure of its last branch in Sviatohirsk.

This is indicated in the company's statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"We have been delaying this moment until the last moment, but the situation has become critically dangerous. Due to heavy shelling, the approaching frontline and drone attacks on cars, we are closing our last branch in Sviatohirsk. As always after an evacuation, we offer all employees jobs in other cities and departments of the company," the statement said.

Despite the company's withdrawal from Sviatohirsk, Nova Poshta offices remain in the Donetsk Region. 37 branches continue to operate, and two more are planned to be opened by the end of the year.

In addition, the company is developing a network of post offices so that people can receive parcels, avoiding crowds and unnecessary risk, now there are 181 of them.

Nova Poshta will definitely return at the earliest opportunity, as it did in October 2022, after the de-occupation of the city.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Nova Poshta closed its last branch (No. 2), which continued to operate in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Region, on May 9.

In early November, the last Ukrposhta branch was closed in Sviatohirsk.
