Ukraine's Security Service conducted a unique special operation and hit a russian submarine in the port of Novorossiysk.

The Ukrainian News agency was informed about this by the SSU.

"For the first time in history, Sub Sea Baby underwater drones blew up a Russian submarine of the 636.3 class Varshavyanka (NATO classification - Kilo). As a result of the explosion, the submarine was critically damaged and actually disabled," the SSU said.

According to the SSU, the submarine was carrying four Kalibr cruise missile launchers, which the enemy uses to strike at the territory of Ukraine.

It was a joint operation of the SSU 13th Main Military Counterintelligence Directorate and the Ukrainian Navy.

"The cost of the Warsaw submarine is about USD 400 million. Taking into account the international sanctions imposed, the construction of a similar submarine can currently cost up to USD 500 million. This class of submarines is also known as the Black Hole because of the hull's ability to absorb sounds and remain invisible to sonar," the SSU added.

The blown-up boat was forced to stay in the port of Novorossiysk due to the successful special operations of Sea Baby surface marine drones, which drove russian ships and submarines out of Sevastopol Bay in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the russian nuclear submarine base was damaged by the tsunami in Kamchatka. On September 14, 2023, representatives of the ATESH guerrilla movement announced that they launched a missile attack on the russian fleet in Sevastopol, which destroyed a large russian landing ship and a submarine.
