Zelenskyy said what he will do if peace plan fails
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy compared the process of ending the war to a "long-distance running", emphasizing Ukraine's readiness for "Plan B". The head of state said this in response to journalists' questions, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, if the current processes of peaceful settlement and pressure on russia do not work, the state will be forced to "pull itself together, find another way and do everything again to end this war".
"If one or another process regarding the peaceful settlement of this war, its end, pressure on russia does not work out... it is like a long-distance running. We must pull ourselves together, find another way and do everything again to end this war" Zelenskyy said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that as of today, Ukraine has not received an official response from the United States of America to Kyiv's latest proposals regarding the peace plan.
Earlier it was reported that the US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff will meet with European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Berlin this coming weekend. It is expected that French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will participate in the talks with Witkoff in Berlin.
