Zelenskyy instructs Budanov's department: Defense Intelligence of Defense Ministry should intensify release of Ukrainian prisoners

The head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov reported to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the details of the preparation of a special event to release civilians who were in Belarus.

This was stated in the President's message on December 13.

"Thanks to the active role of the United States and the cooperation of our intelligence services, about a hundred people are now being released, including five Ukrainians. We are helping our American partners to provide appropriate assistance to Ukraine. If necessary, the special services of our neighbors in Europe are also involved," he wrote.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed to intensify work as much as possible so that the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war could take place by the end of the year.

"I instructed the Defense Intelligence and all services represented in our Coordination Headquarters to maximize work on the russian direction so that the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war can take place by the new year. We remember all our people who are still in russian captivity. Thank you to everyone who helps return Ukrainians!" the head of state summed up.
