Military denies russian capture of Siversk in Donetsk Region
Russian propaganda reports about the alleged capture of the town of Siversk in the Donetsk Region are fake.
The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has stated this.
Thus, russian Telegram channels spread a message about the "capture" of Siversk in the Donetsk Region by the russian military.
"As of the morning of December 10, this information is not true, according to the Operational Command "East."
At the same time, the military noted that the situation in the city area remains tense.
"Wishful thinking is a typical technique of Russian propaganda to create the illusion of the Russian army's success and demoralize the Ukrainian Defense Forces," the Center for Countering Disinformation added.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, meanwhile, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that at a certain moment in Pokrovsk, the Donetsk Region there were no units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
