Drones hit oil depot in Livny, russia: large-scale fire breaks out

A fire broke out at an oil depot in the city of Livny, Oryol Oblast, russia, at night after a drone attack.

This was reported by the governor of Oryol Oblast Andrey Klychkov, the russian Ministry of Defense, Telegram channel Astra.

Governor Andrey Klychkov reported that the region was again hit by drones, as a result of which fuel and energy infrastructure facilities in the Livny district caught fire. According to him, there were no casualties, and rescue services are working at the scene of the incident.

The Astra Telegram channel specifies that the strike was carried out specifically on a local oil depot. Livny is home to the Oryolneftoprodukt facility, which was already the target of a drone attack in January 2025.

The russian Ministry of Defense stated that drones attacked eight regions of the russian federation and the occupied Crimea that night. According to the agency, russian air defense allegedly destroyed 45 Ukrainian drones. The Defense Ministry claims that 14 UAVs were shot down over the Bryansk Oblast, 8 over the Krasnodar Krai, 5 over the Volgograd Oblast, 4 over Chechnya, 2 over the Rostov Oblast, one each over the Oryol, Lipetsk and Tver Oblasts, as well as 3 over the Black Sea and 6 over Crimea.
