Ukraine and the Netherlands launch joint production of drones - Shmyhal
Ukraine and the Netherlands are launching joint production of drones. Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal has announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"We are launching a joint Ukrainian-Dutch production of drones. Today I signed an important agreement with Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans. The document opens the way to joint production of Ukrainian unmanned systems both in Ukraine and in the Netherlands," he said.
Shmyhal noted that production will be divided between Ukraine and the Netherlands, drones will be purchased by the Dutch side and transferred to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
In addition, the Netherlands announced the allocation of EUR 250 million for the PURL initiative.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 27, Shmyhal said that the Ministries of Defense of Ukraine and the United Kingdom signed a license agreement for the production of the Ukrainian Octopus interceptor drone.
