Ukraine, US discuss territory swap and election schedule - WSJ
The Ukrainian and American delegations at the talks in Miami discussed the holding of elections and the exchange of territories between Ukraine and the aggressor country russia.
The American edition of The Wall Street Journal reported this with reference to its own sources.
Unnnamed sources of the newspaper said that during the talks, the parties are discussing a potential schedule for holding elections in Ukraine.
The delegations also discussed scenarios for the exchange of territories between Ukraine and russia. The source did not provide any details on this issue.
In addition, Ukraine and the United States discussed a number of other issues that have remained unresolved since the talks in Geneva.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov said that he is in constant contact with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"We have clear directives and priorities - protection of Ukrainian interests, substantive dialogue and moving forward based on the developments achieved in Geneva," Umerov wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the delegation will report to Zelenskyy on the results of the talks in Miami.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 30, russian dictator vladimir putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that next week, US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff would visit moscow to discuss a "peace plan" to end the war.
Recall that the day before, the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak, said that Zelenskyy would not sign any document on the renunciation of territories while he is president.
