Ministry of Defense codifies anti-drone ammunition for mass production
The Ministry of Defense has codified anti-drone ammunition from several Ukrainian manufacturers, and they are ready for mass production. This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Thanks to anti-drone ammunition, the Ukrainian military will be able to more effectively counter enemy FPVs and Mavic. Their peculiarity is a special warhead, which increases the chance of shooting down a Russian drone many times over," said Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.
He added that such ammunition does not require a separate weapon, it is enough for the military to have a magazine with special ammunition and equip regular weapons with it.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, FPV drones and Mavics have become one of the biggest threats to the military.
In May, the Ministry of Defense authorized the use of an individual means of countering aerial drones, the Anti-drone pistol, made in Ukraine.
