Ukraine and Greece will start joint production of maritime drones. Some of them will be supplied to the Ukrainian army, while others will be added to the Greek arsenal.

The Greek edition of Kathimerini reported this with reference to its own sources.

According to the publication, the agreement on the production of marine drones was reached following a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, which took place last Sunday, November 16.

Unnnamed Kathimerini interlocutors said that a production line will be opened in Greece at shipyards that have the capabilities to develop such systems.

Greek companies will produce electronic and optical systems, as well as explosives, if necessary. Obviously, the joint drones will be an improved version of existing models that have already been tested in combat conditions in Ukraine.

The publication writes that for Athens, cooperation with Kyiv in the field of maritime drone production has three positive aspects:

A group of Greek experts will soon travel to Ukraine to promote the agreement signed in Athens.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in early October this year, Forbes wrote, citing sources, that Ukraine has created a unique maritime drone that is capable of transporting fiber-optic FPV drones.
