Starting from November 15, every Ukrainian will be able to apply for UAH 1000 of Winter Support. Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko has announced this on her Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"We are preparing to launch the government's Winter Support program. Its key element is a one-time payment of UAH 1,000 for every citizen who is now in Ukraine. Today, the government approved the mechanism for paying out the aid to citizens. From this Saturday, November 15, to December 24, 2025, every Ukrainian will be able to apply for UAH 1,000 in Diia. You can apply for assistance both for yourself and for your child," she said.

Svyrydenko noted that the funds can be obtained by applying in one of two ways:

in the Diia application - after processing the application, the funds will be transferred to the National Cashback card, which can be spent on utilities, medicines, Ukrainian products, postal services, books, charity and donations to the Defense Forces;

in Ukrposhta offices - the payment will be transferred to a special account, the funds received in this way can be spent on Ukrainian-made goods in Ukrposhta offices, as well as on utilities and donations.

The funds can be used until June 30, 2026.

"The purpose of Winter Support is to cover as many people as possible with support from the state on the eve of winter, to help pay utility bills and cover basic needs," Svyrydenko said.

In its turn, the Ministry of Social Policy reported that it had redistributed the saved funds and combined them into a single program - "Social Protection of Citizens in Difficult Life Circumstances", this decision will allow to cover more than 11 million citizens with support and ensure payments to all applicants by the end of 2025 - UAH 11 billion is provided for this in the state budget.

The Ministry of Social Policy reminded that the most vulnerable categories of citizens will receive an additional UAH 6,500 under the Winter Support program.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in October 2024, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a new program to support Ukrainians in the difficult winter period starting December 1, under which each person will be able to receive UAH 1000 . In the winter of 2024/2025, 14.4 million Ukrainians applied for UAH 1000.
