Airborne Assault Forces tell how many russian soldiers are in Pokrovsk
There are more than 300 russian soldiers in the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk Region, who are trying to reach the northern borders of the city in order to surround the agglomeration.
This was reported by the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on November 11.
It is noted that in recent days the russians have intensified their efforts to penetrate Pokrovsk using light equipment through the southern outskirts - for this the enemy used adverse weather conditions, in particular thick fog, which reduces the possibilities for Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance and strikes in open terrain.
"Currently, there are more than 300 russians in the city. Their goal remains unchanged - to reach the northern borders of Pokrovsk with a further attempt to surround the agglomeration," the report says.
The Defense Forces emphasized that the Defense Forces continue to detect and destroy enemy groups in urban areas even in low visibility conditions. According to the military, since the beginning of November, the Defense Forces have eliminated 162 russians in Pokrovsk, another 39 were wounded.
Currently, various units of the Defense Forces continue to be involved in the clearing of the city - the Unmanned Systems Forces, assault and airborne assault units, the Special Operations Forces (SOF), the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard, the National Police, and others.
According to the SOF, there are constant shelling, gun battles, and drone attacks in the city. It is indicated that the occupiers are "mindlessly throwing everything they have at the city."
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, the army of the aggressor country of russia has concentrated about 150,000 soldiers in the Pokrovsk Axis. The occupiers intend to capture the city and surrounding settlements, and then carry out a "final maneuver" in the region.
On November 10, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied the occupiers' claims that they had allegedly established full fire control over logistical routes in the Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad areas.
As a reminder, on November 9, the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian military had cleared the northern part of Pokrovsk.
