Lights go out at Mariinskyi Palace during Zelenskyy's interview with The Guardian
The interview of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with The Guardian at the Mariinskyi Palace was temporarily suspended due to a sudden power outage, which was later quickly restored using a backup generator. The publication published the video on November 9.
President Zelenskyy explained the incident to a media representative, emphasizing that this is a reality for all Ukrainians.
"This is normal. We have fluctuations in electricity in Kyiv, like everywhere else," the President said.
Zelenskyy said that the illegitimate president of the russian federation is ordering attacks on Ukraine's energy system, killing civilians and depriving them of electricity and water. According to the President, this is the only way for putin to create tension in Ukrainian society.
The publication notes that repeated russian attacks on the national energy system in recent weeks have caused frequent power outages throughout Ukraine. However, after the palace staff activated the backup generator, the electricity supply was restored.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the restrictions will apply in most regions. Ukrenergo told about the shutdown schedules for November 10.
On the night of November 7-8, the aggressor country of russia carried out a massive attack on Ukraine, using missiles and UAVs. It is known that energy facilities in three regions were damaged.
