Poland raises fighter jets due to massive russian strike on Ukraine

On the night of October 30, the Polish Air Force and allied aviation were put on alert due to a large-scale russian missile attack on Ukraine, in particular on the western regions.

As reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, NATO aviation began operations in the country's airspace in response to russia's actions.

"Another pair of fighter jets and early warning aircraft were raised on alert. Ground-based air defense and radar surveillance systems have been put on high alert," the official statement said.

The command clarified that the actions are preventive in nature. "Their goal is to guarantee the security and protection of airspace, especially in areas adjacent to territories under threat," the Polish military stressed.
