Zelenskyy instructs Shmyhal to start arms exports from November
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal to start arms exports from November. Zelenskyy announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Zelenskyy, in particular, said that he had held a meeting with government officials on the results of the government's 100 days of work, as well as key tasks for the next 100 days.
"The Minister of Defense of Ukraine must ensure the full implementation of tasks for the production and supply of drones - FPV, interceptor drones and drones for deep strikes by the end of the year. The program for the controlled export of our weapons should be launched next month," he said.
Zelenskyy also noted that by the end of 2025, Ukraine should reach an indicator of over 50% of Ukrainian-made weapons in the defense of the state.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in September, Zelenskyy said that starting this year, Ukraine will partially cover the deficit in financing arms production through controlled arms exports.
In April, Zelenskyy said that over 40% of all weapons used on the front were produced in Ukraine.
