Norwegian intelligence confirms russia conducts Burevestnik missile launch

Norwegian military intelligence confirmed that the day before, the aggressor country of russia conducted a test of the new 9M730 Burevestnik cruise missile.

The head of Norway's intelligence service, Vice Admiral Nils Andreas Stensones, told Reuters.

"We can confirm that russia conducted a new test launch of a long-range cruise missile," Stensones said.

According to him, the Burevestnik missile was tested last week. It was launched from the Novaya Zemlya archipelago in the Barents Sea.

The head of Norway's military intelligence did not provide any other details.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 26, the Chief of the General Staff of the russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov reported to russian dictator vladimir putin about the successful tests of the Burevestnik missile. According to Gerasimov, the missile with a nuclear power plant allegedly flew 14,000 kilometers and was in the air for about 15 hours.

Burevestnik (according to NATO classification - SSC-X-9 Skyfall) is a "global" range cruise missile equipped with a nuclear power plant. This missile was first announced in 2018.

As a reminder, the day before, US President Donald Trump said that dictator putin should stop the war, and not engage in missile testing.
